Are you up for the challenge?

Advice for writers and bloggers

Edit: This post refers to the first ‘7 day Writing and Mindfulness Challenge’, which I created in June 2020 during the lockdown. There are links to each day of the challenge provided at the bottom of this post – scroll down – and you’ll find a short video at the top of each post explaining what each day’s challenge is about. Forgive my lockdown hair.

What’s all this about?

I’ve been taking part in a challenge myself (so this is a bit meta). It involves writing a blog post every day for thirty days. So I’ve been sharing my thoughts on writing every day, whether it’s a good idea, how to do it, how to come up with ideas, how to find the time, all of that good kind of stuff. You can check out the previous posts here.

Welcome to the 7 day Mindfulness and Writing Challenge

I got to thinking, what kind of challenge would I set if I was going to come up with my own writing challenge? So I give you the 7 Day Writing and Mindfulness Challenge. Starting on Monday (tomorrow!) I’m going to be sharing an activity that links writing and mindfulness for 7 days. It will only take 5 minutes of your time – but you can extend the activity if you want to.

What to do if you want to take part

Put aside five minutes each day to do the activity, plus an extra 5 minutes or so to read the instructions. You’ll need something to write with and a way of making your writing mobile. (Carry a notebook or use your phone.)
