About a quarter of the way through this book, I came upon an exercise called “Book Mining”. I followed the instructions – it only took 10 minutes – then glanced at the list of words thus generated and immediately sat down and wrote a publishable short story, inspired by some of those words. There are lots of little exercises in this book which can assist a writer, particularly one stuck for ideas. I took 9 pages of notes from my copy. Recommended. – Amazon review of How to Write.
